Best Lebanese food I've ever tried.. Everything we ordered was delicious. The green spicy sauce was also a delicious addition to the whole meal. We got a bean dish called fool. The spicy potatoes and fatoush salad. Everything is tasty. The workers are all very nice and give good service.

Had a nice meal here after seeing a play at UCLA. I had the falafel plate, which was delicious and the portions were generous. The falafels were nicely crisp on the outside, and flavorful and moist on the inside, and the hummus and tahini were also good. My friend had the chicken kebab plate, and he was very happy with it. I also recommend the Lebanese beer on their menu. Service was very friendly and helpful, perhaps a bit slow at times, but I appreciate a restaurant that isn't just trying to turn over tables as quickly as possible. I'd just say that if you are in a rush, let them know up front; otherwise settle in to a relaxed meal. The baklava were not as good as I remembered them, but they've been consistently good over the years so I suspect these were an exception to the general quality I've experienced here.

Immediately from entering, you can feel a sense of warmth and hospitality classic in authentic Lebanese culture. The walls are decorated with trinkets reminiscent of Lebanon. The food is absolutely phenomenal--I recommend the mixed shawarma plate, my go-to! The meat is full of flavor and super tender! Very kind waiters as well

The food here is some of my favorite food in Los Angeles. The stuffed squash and cabbage never disappoint (also try the hummus and garlic sauce). I ordered a huge pick-up for a baby shower last month and was so impressed with their professionalism. They triple checked to ensure they didn't forget anything (this rarely happens anymore at restaurants) and helped me carry everything to the car. They even worked to provide a discount due to the large size of the order. I love this place and wish I lived closer!

Coming from a Lebanese girl....this place is so yummy. Been coming for at least 14 years!? Had to stop by Sunin while in the area for a family wedding. So yummy & easy to order takeout. Wish they'd open a place in north San Diego!

I ordered some food through Uber Eats for the first time from Sunnin Lebanese Café. First of all, I must say all of their food is absolutely delicious! After the Uber driver arrived and I opened the bag there were a few items missing. I called the restaurant and spoke with Nizar and told him that there were some missing items. I'm not sure if the Uber Eats driver accidentally didn't pick up some of the items, but Nizar told me he would get those items out to me as quickly as possible. Apparently, he spoke with his manager Rami who was also very helpful. In fact, they sent an extra dessert. The second delivery arrived quickly, and I didn't feel the meal was ruined by not receiving all the dishes at the same time. I just wanted to thank Nazar and Rami for their excellent service! My girlfriend and I will definitely be ordering more food in the future from Sunnin.

Ordered through DoorDash so can't speak on direct ambiance or service, but I am obsessed with this place just based on the food alone! The meat is very high quality with generous portions. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the rice was excellent and fluffy. The hummus was also very good. I also ordered the baklava (not pictured) and it was the perfect end to the meal.

Overall: a very memorable and yummy experience for someone new to Lebanese food Food: 5/5 Had lots of delightful additions of acidity. Stew was well balanced though didn't have as much meat/umami flavor as I would've liked. The hummus and eggplant dips were creamy and drizzled with an extremely vibrant olive oil. Service: 5/5 Food was prompt. Servers were kind. They offered to move us to a 4 person table (even though our party was 2) since we ordered so much food. Ambiance: 4/5 Friendly and warm, though could do with some updates. Definitely a neighborhood spot kind of vibe.

My workplace was treated to a catered lunch. The cafe was closed when I tried to go in December, but based on this lunch, I would go back to dine there. The highlights of my meal lunch were the falafel, hummus and the tangy salad dressing. The falafel was mildly spiced and crunchy. The beef kebab was tender but salty. The grilled chicken breast chunks were overcooked. I noticed 2 differences between Lebanese and Persian food. My kebab had chopped green herb(s?), and was served with pilaf whereas basmati rice is part of Persian cuisine. I prefer the fluffy basmati rice. Also, many grilled Persian dishes come with grilled vegetables, optional raw onion and sumac. The catered kebabs came with cooked onions. A look at their menu makes me curious to try Lebanese food like kibbeh. And it's hard to resist any place with fresh baba ganoush!
